Byron ‘Reckful’ Bernstein is a twitch.tv streamer and former professional esports player. He began playing MMOs in 1999 as a 10 year old. Asheron’s Call by Turbine was the first world he felt completely immersed in… he had trouble enjoying regular life. He then tried Anarchy Online, Dark Age of Camelot, and many others, eventually becoming the highest rated player in World of Warcraft around age 20. Through an excited tweet, he brought together the twitch community to work on a project that would fill the void left by these online worlds. This is the result — Everland.
Zak is an accomplished programmer with over 5 years of experience in the game industry. In his most recent position as a Game Systems Programmer, he created a modding system for the popular military shooter game Squad. Throughout his time in the industry, he has started to move into a producer position after being a programmer for 5 years. You can find him out at any of the major music festivals or just going for his nightly run around downtown Vancouver.
Rin is a freelance artist and prospective industrial design student. She has won several Scholastics Art & Writing awards in Digital Art, Drawing & Illustration, and Design. In addition to academic achievements, she has ranked internationally on Pixiv in multiple categories, reaching the Top 30 Overall Global Rankings for her illustrations. Her passion lies in digital art, and she hopes to apply her experience and expertise to make Everland’s art memorable.
Collin is an accomplished Audio Engineer, with over four years of on-set and in-studio work. As the son of an Air Force pilot, Collin had the unique opportunity to experience a variety of countries and cultures, picking up diverse and unique skills along the way. After University he packed his bags and moved to New York to pursue a career in live recording and sound design. You can find him out and about in the Clinton Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn, or working at his studio with his friends at 368 Broadway.
Rebecca has a Masters of Architecture and a Bachelor of Architectural Science from Ryerson University in Toronto, with 7-8 years of experience working in the architectural field. In her most recent position as a designer, she managed and designed numerous international entertainment projects, including theme parks, water parks, and retail masterplans. Her graduate thesis research focused on game environments and how these environments provide engaging and immersive experiences through architectural design.
Hiroki Kikuta is a veteran videogame composer based in Tokyo, Japan who is best known for his work on Squaresoft’s beloved SNES RPG, Secret of Mana. While at Squaresoft, he also scored Seiken Densetsu III and Soukaigi.
Kikuta then struck out on his own as an independent game developer, creating, directing, and composing music for the PlayStation title, Koudelka. He’s since been actively involved in writing music for indie games in Japan and abroad, and most recently began working on the massive soundtrack to Indivisible by Lab Zero Games.
